This design represents the Mina Mina Jukurrpa (Dreaming), associated with a sacred site west of Yuendumu. It holds deep significance for Napangardi/Napanangka women and Japangardi/Japanangka men, the custodians of this story.

The Jukurrpa tells of ancestral women who travelled east from Mina Mina, where digging sticks (karlangu) emerged from the ground. As they journeyed, they gathered bush foods, collected ngalyipi (snake vine), and performed ceremonies. The ngalyipi vine, sacred to the women, grows along kurrkara (desert oak) trees and is used for ceremonial wraps and as a carrying strap for parrajas (wooden bowls).
