When Ngurunderi came down the Murray River in his canoe, chasing the giant Murray Cod, he shaped the Murray River, its lakes, and the entire Ngarrindjeri Country. He also created the Ngarrindjeri people, who live along the River Murray, Lakes, and Coorong, and taught them lore, dance, song, and the knowledge needed for daily life.

This artwork was completed during a developmental workshop with Better World Arts, supported by Arts SA. Cedric explored colour and line to develop a bold, flowing style, rich with life and cultural meaning.
